How to Reach Bird Paradise

By Bus/MRT

You should take a bus on either of the MRT stations such as Khatib (NS14), Choa Chu Kang ( NS4), Ang Mo Kio (NS16) and Springleaf (TE4). Bus route numbers 927 and 138 will conveniently drop you at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. There are shuttle services available within the reserve, you may use one to reach Bird Paradise.

Mandai Shuttle Services

The Mandai Shuttle services from Khatib MRT Station (NS14) from the city centre to the Bird Paradise. The services will include picking you up and dropping off to your hotels in the city centre. On the specified route, shuttles arrive every 10-15 minutes during operating hours of 9 AM to 6 PM.

The Mandai Wildlife West is about thirty-minute drive away from the city and there are two different routes to reach. You may choose to reach the final destination via Central Expressway in the direction of the Seletar Expressway, take exit 8A on Seletar Expressway and then take a left onto Mandai Lake road. They can also drive towards Woodlands, take Exit 7 on the Bukit Timah Expressway onto Mandai road. Both the Expressways are efficient and offer convenient travel to reach the destination Mandai Wildlife West faster.

Tips to Visit

Opening Hours:The Bird Paradise Opening Hours are from 9 AM - 6 PM daily, last entry is allowed only till 5 PM. Feeding sessions for birds are organised at different slots like Pelican Feeding at 10 AM and Cassowary Feeding at 1 PM. The keeper talks are scheduled at different intervals as well like Penguin Keeper Talk at 1:30 PM and Hornbill Keeper Talk at 3 PM. You are advised to plan their visits as per the timings of the activities they are interested in performing.

  • Lost & Found: If visitors have lost any of their belongings, or found something left unclaimed, or lost, do not worry, the Membership and Experiences Centre got them covered. They just need to approach the centre for assistance to find their lost belongings, or to report what they have found.
  • Nursing Rooms: There are various nursing rooms in the vicinity of the Bird Paradise. Visitors can find nursing rooms near the retail shops, near Guest Services, Penguin Cave Level 1, Egg Splash and Food Central.
  • Diaper Changing Facilities: Parents of little kids can avail the facility conveniently from all restrooms at the park. Both men and women restrooms are equipped with the facility. 
  • Mobility Access: The Bird Paradise Singapore is a disabled-people friendly place. Visitors may find complimentary wheelchairs at the park entrance itself. For an infant or toddler, they may rent a trike or wagon to conveniently access and move around the park.
  • In-park WiFi: Visitors will not be disappointed with fluctuating networks, or unstable internet connection at the park. There are WiFi facilities within the park, and they can access the free WiFi connection by tapping onto network ‘PARK_FREE_WIFI’.
  • First Aid: If any visitor feels uneasy, or needs any kind of medical assistance, they can approach nearby staff or call 6100 0767 for help. There are first aid rooms at the park entrance, Egg Splash, Guest Services and along the Forest Corridor.
  • Lockers: There is a rental locker facility available to safely store the belongings, while enjoying the park. Visitors may rent small lockers at S$5, or large lockers at S$10 for the first 3 hours, and then S$1 and S$2 for every additional hour, respectively.
  • Left Luggage: Visitors may place their oversized luggage at the Guest services and enjoy the trip free-mindedly. The charges for placing luggage at the Guest services are S$10 for the first three hours with S$2 for every additional hour thereafter. 
  • Rain Gear: If a visitor is not prepared for rain, they can find rain gears, ponchos and umbrellas at the gift shops located within the park’s vicinity.
